Elena (President)

            I just met with Gabe about special request and event interpreting services online program. Anyone is welcome to join me next Friday at 1pm for more feedback!

 

Julia (Vice President)

            New information about Pizza Rev fundraiser (will be in new business)

Clarisia (Spring Banquet)

            Hello everyone, we’ve been advertising ticket sales on Facebook, please buy your tickets too! Yesterday, we went to the banquet and will soon be working on decorations

            The food options are (According to FB voting poll)

                        Odyssey Chicken – boneless breast of chicken finished with artichoke hearts, mushroom and a white wine

                        Pasta Primavera – fettuccine with seasonal veggies and a fresh tomato basil sauce

                        Vegan pasta with basil sauce and veggies

            We are working with Nhi to host a fundraiser soon; we are thinking Friday, March 6th

 

Alexandra (J’ASK) – Danielle

            Papers have been signed and submitted to PPM/EH dept. to approve game and breakfast that will be provided

            Found woman to sponsor T-shirts

            Still recruiting talent for ASL night “Whose Sign is it Anyways”

            Flyers have been made (will attach in separate email to pull up during report)

            Emailed the head of AS funding to push along request for the money to pay interpreters

            When should I start recruiting volunteers?

 

Tyler (Deaf CSUNians Ambassador Program)

            DCAP date Saturday, March 21st

            DCAP Meetings – GREAT!

            Will ask DC committees to help me out with other things like flyers, program books, etc

 

Nhi (Fundraiser)

            Hi! We were thinking of March 6th but haven’t thought of the time yet. (Working with Spring Banquet)

            I am still waiting for a reply from MB2 and Sky High

 

Tirzah (Art)

            I found three hearing people for the D Project, finally! The D Project is doing awesome

            I have been shopping for outfits to make for the Spring Banquet’s adversarial video and poster. I couldn’t wait to make them for Salvador and Emmanuel. >\\\<

            I can’t wait for the new project “A Love Note to Everyone.” I would like all of you to read our note and wanted to know you like it or not (I will email all of you).

            Created flyer for a front and back for JASK week

            Helped promote Spring Banquet on various FB groups and pages

 

Braden (Social Cultural)

            I contacted Jessica of DSA! We agreed it would be best to host the event on March to avoid the conflicts

            I am considering hosting an event about St. Patrick’s Day

            I move to approve the date of Pizza Rev Fundraiser on March 3rd, Tuesday from 11:00am to 10:00pm

            Nhi Seconded

            Reason: Pizza Rev will donate 20% to Deaf CSUNians and would love to have everyone to come and support. I already have the flyers from Pizza Rev. I will make copies of the flyers so everyone will have a copy and to hand out as well

Tyler (DCAP)

            I, Tyler Pugeda, move to use Saturday, March 21st, 2015 as the official date for DCAP

            Reason: It’s the day of the competition

            I, Tyler Pugeda, move to open discussion about tweaking the program at the meeting.

Announcement

            NCOD tutoring center will be hosting WPE (writing proficiency exam) workshop on Friday, March 6th, at 10:00am to 1:00pm. Please sign up in the tutoring center!

 

            Deaf Studies Association are hosting Study Sessions every two weeks, alternating between the first Tuesday of the month and the third Wednesday of the month unless other wise announced.

                        Study Sessions will be held:

                        February 18th (Wed) at 7:00pm to 8:00pm – Location TBA

                        March 3rd (Tues) at 7:00pm to 9:00pm – Location TBA

                        May 5th (Tues) at 2:00pm to 4:00pm – NCOD Library
