• No Report but do has information about Glide Event which is coming on March 20th, Friday

 

Julia – Vice President

• Out of town, excused

 

Haya – Secretary

• Continue advertising JASK, DCAP, Spring Banquet, and Fundraiser – CHIPOTLE

• If you are interested in volunteering for EG Red Carpet, come to me after meeting J

 

Emmanuel – Treasurer

• DC Budget Balance: 4,941.71$

• Haya picked her reimbursement check from the DC office

Clarisia – Spring Banquet

• Hello all, Spring Banquet committee is working on a Vlog to advertise for the event. Will be soon made! Please buy your tickets if you haven’t! Remember, last day to buy it for the price of 50$ will be next Friday. After that, it will increase to 55$

• Tickets will possibly sell at pub next Friday for ASL night and will be sold at DCAP during intermission. (Will talk to Tyler about making announcement on stage about that)

 

Alexandra – JASK (representative – Kendra)

• Had committee meeting 3/5/15 to go over last details

• PLEASE promote JASK and ASL night on your Facebook J

• We will be having a guest performer from Sacramento coming for ASL night, his name is Eduardo Cardenas (he will be performing ASL poetry and sign song, he is HOH himself)

• Please note the purchases that will be happening this week that will be proposals to be reimbursed (all of this is being spent on my personal credit card, so I want the board to be aware of the spending beforehand so the approval is smooth and fast when we make those proposals)

• 20$ printing for copies of ASL lesson sheets that will be passed out on Monday for that event

• 30$ for bouquet of flowers as honory gift for Kavita Papali (presenter)

• 80$-100$ GUESTIMATE Fruit, bagels w/cream cheese, muffins, small plates, napkins, and knives for breakfast provided after ASL Lesson for Monday, March 9th (food will be purchased) @Costco and rest will be purchased at 99cents store)

• 50$ gas gift card for guest performer (please note he is driving down from Sacramento JUST for ASL night and to support JASK, my committee has already voted and agreed on this)

• Total cost to be reimbursed: 210.00$

• Again, this spending is coming from my personal credit card, and the food from Costco will be purchased on Danielle’s Debit card, we would appreciate being reimbursed as fast as possible J so please be aware of these upcoming proposals. They will all be proposed NEXT DC meeting (Friday, March 13th) and hope to receive reimbursement check the following week

 

Nhi – Fundraiser

• Thank you for supporting us at Pizza Rev

 

Tuzdie – Public Relations

• PR on all media sites for JASK week, Spring Banquet, Hike, Pizza Rev fundraiser, and Chipotle fundraiser

• Passed out flyers to Antelope Valley College and College of the canyons for the events of Pizza Rev, Spring Banquet, and Jask Week

• Created FB event under JASK page for the event next week! Please share and spread the word!

 

Matt – Recreation

• Hiking Event: THIS SUNDAY! (Posted on DC’s Event Page)

• Location: Tuna Canyon Park

• Trail Length & Difficulty: 1.9 miles; moderate with 700 feet elevation gain

• Date & Time: March 8th from 8:30am to 12:00pm. We will arrive at the trailhead by 8:30am to avoid the heat and crowds!

• Starting location: Tuna Canyon Road & Hearst Motorway, Topanga Canyon, CA

 

 

 

Braden – Social Cultural

• St. Patrick Day

• Will create the flyers and set event on Facebook, after those completed then will start to market

 

Danielle – Deaf CSUNians Lounge

• I would like to clarify that any Chairperson is allowed to use the computer in the DC office for DC-related work

Elena – I move to bring one representative with me Deaf CSUNians to Deaf Women United Conference in Berkeley, CA this summer on July 15th

• Reason: They offered the opportunity and I will request CSUN sponsorship. We will also be involved with the Youth camp, which I will ask for volunteer counselors
